Chris Gulley
Chris Gulley (Fury) is a lover of all things nerdy. His love for entertainment grew into him creating the platform of Blerd’s Eyeview. A podcast and web show that discusses nerd and entertainment news from a Black viewpoint. While also using his platform to help showcase BIPOC creatives (known and unknown) in these spaces. Chris is also an upcoming voice actor that has already been featured in several audio dramas and IMDb credits to his name.
Chris Gulley is the News Director of the Press Corps team for Blerd Station in the form of BNN (Blerd News Network). Often referred as “The Man On The Wall” or “Captain Fury” by his podcast family, Chris has proven time and time again that if he can’t be seen, he will be heard and is sur to bring other BIPOC creators with him.

Kira Brown
Kira Brown, aka Lady Mandalore, is the founder of Room Full of Blerds (a safe space for Blerds and creatives of all experience levels) and a talented voice actor. She is a Blerd who has been passionate about geek culture since the 80s, starting with Voltron.
She considers Star Wars her home universe. A New York native, Kira brings a “no nonsense” approach to fandom. Be respectful to all, or be gone. Kira is also second in command with the Blerd’s Eyeview Podcast and was instrumental in bringing more women with unique, creative voices to the show, both as hosts and guests.

William Maye (Will B Watchin)
Will Maye, professionally known as Will B. Watchin’ of Mayehem Media, is a versatile creative talent. His early passion for storytelling led him to study creative writing and journalism in college. He later shifted focus to audio production, mentored by 2-time Academy Award winner Russell Williams II, where he discovered the impact of sound design. This blend of writing, visuals, and audio shaped his creative approach, valuing emotional resonance over financial success.

Will is a mental health advocate, podcaster, audio engineer, and aspiring screenwriter. In his emerging career, he has interviewed notable figures like Carl Jones, Chen Tang, Aliyah Royale, and Kenan Thompson. Currently, he brings his talents to the Press Corp of Blerd Station.
He is also a staff writer for PureFandom.com, co-host/on-screen talent for the Blerd's Eyeview Podcast, and serves as the Senior Web Developer and Editor-in-Chief of BlerdsEyeview.org.

Founder Noir Neon Vibes
Flonora Merritt
Flonora Merritt is an advisor for Friendship News Network (FNN) at Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, DC. A 2008 salutatorian of Friendship Collegiate High School, she returned to elevate FNN. In high school, she was the editor-in-chief of Rated-T magazine, transitioning it to digital media.

Merritt is a self-taught photographer and video editor who has been teaching journalism, photography, and video production for nine years. Her students' work has appeared in school yearbooks, the FNN website (codefnn.com), and Afro.com.
​
She launched a YouTube channel with nearly 500 subscribers and, during the COVID pandemic, produced a documentary on DC gentrification, "Fading Color," with a $30,000 grant. The film premiered in October 2022 at the Kennedy Center and is available on codefnn.com.

Merritt also founded Noir Neon Vibes, a digital publication amplifying Black and queer voices, featuring two podcasts (Neon Mic and Virtual Road Rage), a newsletter (NNV Catch Up), and a photo blog at noirneonvibes.org.

Tafari (TafariTV) Young is an avid anime fan and all around Blerd born and raised in Orlando, Florida. Handling all things editing behind the scenes for Blerd News Network. Dedicated to putting boots on the ground and building Bridges between all Blerds Everywhere. You won't always see him on screen, but you can always catch him at a Con creating connections or behind the camera!

Author Montrez lives in the moody Midwest with her husband and three sons. Inspired by superheroes, anime, and an eclectic mix of literature, she is passionate about creating fantastical worlds full of heart, heroics, and Black Girl Power.

It all started in a universe far far away. Just kidding, what's up everyone, my name is Will but l go by Black Spartan, why because l choose to be legendary. I'm more a seasoned blerd but my origin story started long ago in a Batman comic book, from there l decided then my hero would always be the dark knight. From my first anime of Ronin Warriors l've been hooked in manga, anime, right along with video games, comics, movies, and wrestling. My education is based in I.T. but l love to be social, as l fell in love with podcasting and speaking with others who are like-minded.
The podcasts l do from the political and current news to the video game world l believe are all critical and we all can learn from them with great conversation. I truly believe in unity among all blerds and that we can do great things if we're all willing to share the same mission, and also, don't be a dick and we'll all be cool.

Chauncey “Nix” Dickens is the Chief Creative Officer for DYSG Media and the Executive Producer of the podcasts Do You Speak Geek and The Color Commentary Wrestling Podcast. He is a journalist and content creator on multiple platforms including The Love Blerds which he shares with his wife Kena and The Daddy & Dono show with his son.
